MEMORY VERSE: WE CRY ABBA FATHER!: THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION

Romans 8:15-17 KJV

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

IN CHRIST, I AM NEW CREATURE!!!

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 KJV

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 26:1-7 WHAT A PERSONAL REVELATION!!!

Psalm 26:1-7 KJV

Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord: That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

WOW! I have to say this verse does not represent ME very well. The past few years have been difficult and I have NOT "walked in my integrity" and "I shall not slide" has definitely NOT been a phrase I would use for myself. Had I perished in the past few years, I would have been sorely AFRAID to say "Examined me, O Lord, and prove me". I CAN TELL YOU IT IS A VERY SCARY PLACE TO BE! When you have had a very close, personal relationship with the Lord and then to find yourself in such a cold, desolate place and realize that you are very far away from God. I thank God for His tender mmercies toward His chosen people and for giving me the desire to read through the Bible one more time! I can say I am seeing it all from a very new perspective. I've never been in THIS AWFUL place spiritually since coming to know the Lord many years ago. I am ever thankful for the blessing of the story of Job. I feel myself relating to him a lot lately.

THOU ART MY ROCK AND MY FORTRESS

Psalm 31:1-3 KJV

In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

Psalm 19:14 Memory Verse

Psalm 19:14 KJV

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

BORING OT GENEOLOGY...NOT REALLY!!

I do not know anything about the viewpoints or theology of this person but I do know that I have always found it quite boring reading through the OT geneology. I ran across this in a devotion today and I thought I would share it since I'm sure I am not the only one to feel this way when reading geneology in the Scriptures.

Numbers 1:1-2:34, Mark 11:27-12:17

Thought from Today’s Old Testament Passage:

And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you; of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur [Num. 1:5].

That doesn’t sound very interesting or thrilling, but let me explain it. Reuben was the eldest son of Jacob, and he was set aside. We are told, “Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch” (Gen. 49:3–4). Reuben—unstable as water.

Now the man chosen out of this tribe was to be a different kind of man. Elizur, the son of Shedeur, was the man. Elizur means “My God is a rock” and Shedeur means “The Almighty is a fire.” I like that. This man Elizur, “My God is a rock,” may belong to a tribe that is unstable as water, but he knows a Rock that is stable. He reminds me of the little Scottish lady who said, “I may tremble on the Rock, but the Rock never trembles under me.” Remember that they had sung in the song of Moses that God was their Rock. This fellow had learned that. He knew that God is a Rock in a weary land. He is the foundation Rock for us to rest on also. It is wonderful to know, my friend, that you may be an unstable person and come from an unstable family, but there is a Rock for you. “My God is a Rock.” (J. Grow in Grace

"Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 3:18

"Grow in grace"--not in one grace only, but in all grace. Grow in that root-grace, faith. Believe the promises more firmly than you have done. Let faith increase in fulness, constancy, simplicity. Grow also in love. Ask that your love may become extended, more intense, more practical, influencing every thought, word, and deed. Grow likewise in humility. Seek to lie very low, and know more of your own nothingness. As you grow downward in humility, seek also to grow upward--having nearer approaches to God in prayer and more intimate fellowship with Jesus. May God the Holy Spirit enable you to "grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour." He who grows not in the knowledge of Jesus, refuses to be blessed. To know him is "life eternal," and to advance in the knowledge of him is to increase in happiness. He who does not long to know more of Christ, knows nothing of him yet. Whoever hath sipped this wine will thirst for more, for although Christ doth satisfy, yet it is such a satisfaction, that the appetite is not cloyed, but whetted. If you know the love of Jesus--as the hart panteth for the water-brooks, so will you pant after deeper draughts of his love. If you do not desire to know him better, then you love him not, for love always cries, "Nearer, nearer." Absence from Christ is hell; but the presence of Jesus is heaven. Rest not then content without an increasing acquaintance with Jesus. Seek to know more of him in his divine nature, in his human relationship, in his finished work, in his death, in his resurrection, in his present glorious intercession, and in his future royal advent. Abide hard by the Cross, and search the mystery of his wounds. An increase of love to Jesus, and a more perfect apprehension of his love to us is one of the best tests of growth in grace.

from Morning and Evening by C H Spurgeon

Romans 5:1-5

Romans 5:1-5: "'Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

A special passage for a very young New Christian who is 'picked on' (persecuted) for being 'different'. I pray this will help you know that the Grace of God is with you to use this time of 'tribulation' to work in your heart PATIENCE, EXPERIENCE, and HOPE; All of which can only instilled in us by the Holy Spirit. Now, you know that you can 'REJOICE IN HOPE OF THE GLORY OF GOD'!!!! You are my prayers. And, Congratulations on your recent Baptism and the strength to stand up and stand firm on your Faith in God at such a young age! We love you and YOU ARE A VERY SPECIAL PERSON!"

CASTING ALL YOUR CARE UPON HIM; FOR HE CARETH FOR YOU!!

Morning - Day 6

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."  1 Peter 5:7

It is a happy way of soothing sorrow when we can feel--"HE careth for me." Christian! do not dishonour religion by always wearing a brow of care; come, cast your burden upon your Lord. You are staggering beneath a weight which your Father would not feel. What seems to you a crushing burden, would be to him but as the small dust of the balance. Nothing is so sweet as to "Lie passive in God's hands, And know no will but his."

O child of suffering, be thou patient; God has not passed thee over in his providence. He who is the feeder of sparrows, will also furnish you with what you need. Sit not down in despair; hope on, hope ever. Take up the arms of faith against a sea of trouble, and your opposition shall yet end your distresses. There is One who careth for you. His eye is fixed on you, his heart beats with pity for your woe, and his hand omnipotent shall yet bring you the needed help. The darkest cloud shall scatter itself in showers of mercy. The blackest gloom shall give place to the morning. He, if thou art one of his family, will bind up thy wounds, and heal thy broken heart. Doubt not his grace because of thy tribulation, but believe that he loveth thee as much in seasons of trouble as in times of happiness. What a serene and quiet life might you lead if you would leave providing to the God of providence! With a little oil in the cruse, and a handful of meal in the barrel, Elijah outlived the famine, and you will do the same. If God cares for you, why need you care too? Can you trust him for your soul, and not for your body? He has never refused to bear your burdens, he has never fainted under their weight. Come, then, soul! have done with fretful care, and leave all thy concerns in the hand of a gracious God.

The Simple Wife: "
<img src='http://thesimplewife"

I have been following this TRUE INSPIRATIONAL STORY for some time. I get daily updates from them and Try to keep Joanne in my prayers. GOD HAS REALLY BEEN WORKING IN THIS LADY'S LIFE AND FAMILY but they still need our prayers, encouraging thoughts, cards, and any help we can send their way.

I HAVE BEEN SO TOUCHED BY THIS STORY...I SIMPLY CANNOT EXPRESS MY FEELINGS ON HOW MUCH GOD HAS MOVED ME BY ALLOWING ME TO FOLLOW JOANNE'S PROGRESS...WHAT A PERSONAL STORY THAT I AM EVER SO THANKFUL HER FAMILY HAS DECIDED TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD AS A WITNESS OF GOD'S ABILITY TO USE EVERYTHING IN OUR LIVES!!

THE LORD IS OUR REFUGE

Psalm 9:9 KJV - YouVersion.com: "7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.s10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee."

I'm Back...Gonna Try this again!

So ...I'm BACK! Don't know for how long but gonna see if I can give this another try! Some things have changed alot and some things are still the same. I will work on getting everything up to date as soon as I can.

ORGANIZATION

QUICK TIP

Use the edges of your garbage bag and tie together to close. Save the wire tie wraps for other uses in your home like:

~ closing bread when someone loses the tie to the bag
~ tying up excess cords to organize and hide them
~ have trouble wrapping the end of that ext cord...wrap it up and
use a tie wrap to keep it from coming undone

There are many uses. List some that you can think of.

THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR TODAY!!

I want to list my children and my grandchildren as things to be thankful for!! There have been many times in my life that if I had not had either of them I feel like I would not have had a reason to go on. They give me LIFE! I may have given life to them but they return it often for this I am so very thankful!

COUPONING & ARTHRITIS / DOWN DAYS

Its been a rough day! The arthritis has been bad today! That's what usually happens when it rains-I hate barometric pressure changes!!

However, I have taken this opportunity of laying/sitting most of the day to catch up on "paperwork". My youngest daughter and I have decided to start couponing and she had several deals, coupons, and grocery shopping to do yesterday. So we accumulated few Sunday papers, clipped a couple coupons, and just jumped in with both feet (and BOTH BABIES). We hit the local newspaper office, Walgreens, CVS, and WalMart. We really didn't know much about what we were doing but we wanted to get started right away (at least my daughter did, she is very impatient...lol). I bet you are thinking this was pretty dumb to try to do all in one day, right?!?! NO! The dumbest thing is to try doing this with a NURSING INFANT and a SLIGHTLY SICK TODDLER in tow!!! We are crazy like that! We got it done anyway! LOL

This left a huge paper mess at my house (she doesn't take the papers home, we do all that at my house or in my car on the go) so I worked on clearing most of it up. Reading through the rest of the papers and at least grouping them and throwing away the old ads, pulling out coupons and tossing the news part of the paper. I got some coupons actually cut out but have some more to do. I know once we get going this will all be easier but it sure seems a lot like WORK right now.

I also managed to get a couple loads of laundry going, not finished, but going. I made PB&J sandwiches for me and the baby for lunch, cooked a pan of cornbread and did the Hormel microwave dinners for supper.  Now, that doesn't seem like much but yet I feel completely give out! Oh yes, I've been chasing this 16 month old all day! LOL!! Actually, she has been chasing me all day, as in clinging on. I guess she isn't feeling that great or just "feels" that I'm not feeling well. Either way, she has been my constant companion today.

AND THIS IS HOW I HANDLE A "DOWN" DAY!

WELCOME FRIENDS!!!

WELCOME TO MY HUMBLE LITTLE BLOG!!

I have no idea what I am doing but I do know that I wanted to start a blog and I hope to learn from others and, maybe ...just MAYBE, I can share some kind of knowledge with someone else that might be beneficial. If nothing else, I hope to be able to learn how to pass on some of the GREAT SITES I have found to help out around your HOME, help with your CHILDREN, help with MOTIVATION and FAITH, help with Schedules and Cleaning (watch out! Those that really "know" me, know that I have a touch of OCD! LOL!!!)

Anyway, I've already raised one set of children and am working on the second time around. I know some things, am learning some things, don't have a clue about some things, and just plain don't agree with some things (sorry you know we all have these thoughts sometimes). So here we go...I may be a little haphazard to begin with but I'm sure that with time I will find my in this Blogging and get focused and get better and better! HANG IN THERE WITH ME...HERE WE GO!
